This application note points out the variances between the ANSI math documentation and observed results of each of the listed API’s for the x86 architecture targets. It’s goal is to describe observed behavior of the members of the ANSI math library functions when running on a X86 based architecture. The observed differences are not the expected results that are described in the documentation provided with the Tornado release. Not every system designer/integrator is going to use all the capabilities described in the ansiMath library documentation, however for the cases where the behavior of these API’s must be used and described in detail then an accurate description is needed.
