Using the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and the Domain Name Service (DNS) Resolver in VxWorks 5.4.x

The purpose of this technical note is to provide a simple sequence of steps for using the vxWorks 5.4.x DHCP client and the DNS resolver. This technical note describes using these components within a bootrom image and within vxWorks image. Examples that use the Tornado Project Facility and the command-line build approach are both included. This procedure was tested on a Wind River SBC8260, a Wind River MDP860Basic, and a Motorola mbx860 board.
